  • Slow down your busy lifestyle with Yin Yoga.

    Yin is a gentle style of yoga that uses props and certain poses to increase your flexibility and joint strength. Yin uses different props to increase flexibility in both your body and mind; you will hold each pose for 1-3 minutes to impact deeper layers of your fascia for flexibility and increase the benefits of the clarity of your state of mind.

    During the class you are guided through your own breathing and workings of the monkey mind. There will be an invitation to heal your energetic bodies and enjoy the cooling effect of yin practice that help reset your body and unravel stress in the mind and spirit.

  • Hot Flow

    • In this well-rounded class, you will stretch and strengthen your bodies, open your hearts and calm your minds. You will practice with focus on alignment to refine and deepen your practice. The flow sequences help you connect with your breath and your subtle energy. Guided by the wisdom of yoga philosophy, you will learn to relate more deeply with yourselves and the world around you.  Modifications will be offered for beginners. This dynamic vinyasa practice is always evolving. Expect a creative sequence in which your teacher unpacks complex poses by building on the foundations of flow. Class will conclude with a full savasana and/or seated meditation. Add the element of heat (85-90 deg) to create a greater surrender of the muscles as they open and strengthen.     Soul Flow

    Music Flow

    • Music Flow class is a room temperature class. Come as you are. No yoga or dance experience necessary.

      This flow is choreographed to music with lyrics to help you feel and flow. This class allows your body and mind to connect to the music and to yourself.

      This class is unheated but does add some muscle building Please register early for this class.

      Class will be cancelled if it doesn’t meet minimum registration by 9 pm the night before. Bring your mat and water

    It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul. In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul.

    This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, chanting and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purifiy the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

  • This is a Bikram-Inspired style of yoga with set of 26 postures taught with two specific breathing exercises.

    The room is slightly cooler than a traditional Bikram class (95 degrees instead of 105 degrees) You will do the same sequence in each class so you can develop awareness and appreciation for how you develop and grow, both physically and mentally, throughout your practice.

    The sequence was designed to systematically work every body part, including internal organs, ligaments, veins and muscles, so they maintain optimal health. Each posture of the sequence accomplishes something different in the body and they all work synergistically to help the body perform at its best. The postures are taught in stages so they are accessible for all levels.

  • Shine Dance Fitness brings original music and choreography for all abilities.

    Rooted in jazz, ballet, and hip hop, this workout gives you a creative outlet to escape from daily stress.   • This class is designed to get your moving and your heart beating.

    The structure is a 15 min warm up, 30 min HIIT ( high intensity interval training) and a 15 min cool down with savasana.

    This class is heated to 85 degrees. It is appropriate for all levels. Bring water and a mat.

    As with all our morning classes, minimum attendance must be met by 8 pm the night before for class to be held. Pleaser register early.

This immersive Sound Healing Workshop invites you to surrender to the soothing frequencies of crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other vibrational instruments designed to calm the mind, balance the body, and reconnect you to your inner peace.

    Through guided meditation and intentional soundscapes, you'll be led on a journey to release energetic blockages, reduce stress, and activate your body's natural healing systems. Whether you're new to sound healing or a seasoned practitioner, this experience will leave you feeling grounded, clear, and vibrationally renewed.

  • Laughter Yoga was established in 1995 by a medical doctor in India. It's a unique practice that incorporates the deep breathing of yoga, real or fake laughter and childlike play to train the brain to respond to life situations a little differently!

    Scientific articles have shown that if you laugh for 15 minutes a day through 10 second intervals you are training the nervous system to calm during stressful situations. These are just a few benefits of laughter yoga but there are many more.

    The laughter yoga community is growing and there are thousands of laughter clubs throughout 100 countries.

    • It happens to even the most dedicated practitioners – sometimes, you just have to cancel a class in short notice. We want to help you balance your busy life and your strong yoga practice, so we developed policies to make it easier to get your work in as well as honor teacher’s time and effort.

     1 Hour Class Cancellation Policy: Cancel within 1 hour without penalty. We know life happens and things come up. . If you have reserved your spot in any classes and cancel with less than 1 hour notice or No Show, you will forfeit a session in your pass. 6am classes must be canceled 10pm the night before. Cancellations made after this window are non refundable, and the student will forfeit the class.

    Our policy exists 1. to allow others to get to a class specially when space is limited, 2. to fairly compensate our teachers, and 3. to cultivate a community of mutual respect. We highly appreciate your cooperaration.

    Late Arrival Policy:  You must arrive at least 10 minutes before class to settle in with your fellow students. Doors will be locked promptly at class start time.

    Cancellation of Classes:  We strongly recommend online reservation. Sign up online at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled class (sign up by 10pm night before a 6am class). Classes with zero sign up 2 hours prior to the scheduled time will be cancelled, so please check the online schedule.

    Reserving Classes: Online class reservation is available for up to 14 days to ensure that your week’s workout and yoga practice schedule is in line with your personal schedule!

yOUTH cLASSES

Seasonal Classes offered for youth in the Matanuska Valley.

  • In this class for the little yogis they will come and learn the concepts of yoga in a fun and engaging class just for them. This class is for children 2-4.

    Children will use music, props, movement and story telling to experience the foundation of yoga philosophy and poses.

    Parents are asked to stay in the building in case the child needs them.

  • Is your child a ball of energy? Allow them to put their creative energy to good use at an kids aerial yoga and skills class at Yoga OM.

    Aerial yoga features the use of silks suspended from the ceiling to give your child the feeling of safe, weightless flight. Participation in an aerial yoga class has many benefits for children of all ages, from the development of social skills to neurological and developmental benefits.

    The Yoga OM’s Aerial Yoga for Kids program focuses on providing these benefits to your children in a fun, friendly and accepting environment.

    Your little will learn fundamental skills to creatively use the hammock. This class will challenge your kid to develop even more strength and confidence.

    • All of our classes are taught to all levels.

      If you are looking for a good foundational understanding of the poses of yoga I suggest starting with Beginners and Basics.

      Any class labeled Aerial is designed to be taught as a beginners class.

  • Take advantage of our Introductory offer — $47 for 21 days of unlimited yoga and fitness classes.

    You will be prompted to create a user profile and complete your purchase.

    Plan to arrive to your first class 15 minutes early so you have plenty of time to become oriented, settled, and ready to experience your first class.

    If you prefer to sign up in-studio, simply arrive 15-20 minutes before class. We are delighted to assist you.

    • Aerial yoga uses silk hammocks that are rigged from one point to assist with traditional yoga poses and lifting off the ground.

    • Aerial tone and sculpt focuses on strength training movements using the silk to support and challenge. 

    • Anything you can move and feel comfortable in that is appropriate for the temperature of the class( this is listed in the class description)

    • No shoes are allowed in the studio rooms.

    • Aerial classes require clothing that covers armpits and knees to prevent fabric burns.

    • Please no hooks, zippers, buttons or jewelry as these will all snag and rip the silk or ruin the item. 

  • It is always best to speak to your physician about your own health and limitations – as every body is unique.

  • Yes we encourage you to document your experience as you feel necessary.

    We do ask that you respect that it is a shared space and please do not photograph other people without their consent. 

  • Absolutely! We believe fitness should be a fun time, and encourage you to bring your loved ones with you.

    Children from 16 years of age with a parent and adults are welcome to our studio.

    If they wish to take a class with you, you will need to reserve a silk for them separately.

  • 16+ are welcome to take any class at the studio. If the child is younger please see the classes we offer for that age range.

    If you have further questions on your situation please reach out through email or text.

    We welcome all genders at the studio. 

  • We have a minimum attendance requirement of 2 in each class.

    The aerial classes can fit 11 people and the mat classes can fit up to 20 people.

  • In keeping with our commitment to reducing waste, Yoga Om does not sell water bottles, though we do have filtered water dispensers.

    Bring your own bottle and fill up in the studio. 

  • Our studio has a coat rack and shelves for your use during class. Please leave valuables at home.  

    Help us keep a tranquil space in the studio. Turn off your cell phone and leave it in your shelf during class. Phones not permitted in class studio at any time.

  • Unfortunately, Yoga OM studio is not able to accommodate showers at this time.

  • We believe in being an empowered student.

    If the class doesn’t feel right for you at any point please leave, if you need to leave early and you know ahead of time please speak to the teacher individually. 

  • Sometimes teachers and assistants teach with their hands.

    If you prefer not to be touched, simply mention that to the teacher before or during class.
